More than 18,000 trade fair visitors from science, business, medicine and politics came together in the Berlin exhibition grounds Messe Berlin to discuss innovative products and services for the digital transformation of healthcare and nursing. Software solutions for diagnostics and therapy, health data archiving and analysis, interoperability and IT security, as well as digital health applications were presented. Presentations, panels, guided tours and workshops rounded off the extensive program and enabled an intensive exchange, networking and customer acquisition.
A particular focus of this year's DMEA was the use of AI in the healthcare sector to improve medical diagnostics and therapy in the future. AI could also facilitate documentation processes in the healthcare sector by automating tasks (e.g. integration of patient data into electronic health records, speech recognition for automated documentation, documentation analysis and reporting) and thus reduce the workload of medical staff.
The AVATAR project presented itself to the specialist audience at the joint Thuringian stand. Network coordinator medways e.V. provided information about the various use cases of the project and the technical architecture of the AVATAR system. Numerous other project partners also took the opportunity to exchange ideas and network at the trade fair.
The DMEA will take place again next year from April 8th to 10th in Messe Berlin.
