On May 16, 2024, InnoCON 2024 took place in Weimar under the motto "Sharing knowledge. Create innovations.". The AVATAR project consortium was represented by the coordinating networks InfectoGnostics Forschungscampus Jena, medways e.V. and ITnet Thüringen and presented itself at the InnoMARKT. There, the consortium had many discussions with guests from business, research and politics about the use of health data and the researched use cases for data anonymization. Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia's Minister of Economics, Science and Digital Society, also visited the booth to find out more about the project, which was selected by the Thuringian State Development Corporation as one of five Thuringian success stories and later presented itself in a panel discussion.

Dr. Anne-Kathrin Dietel from InfectoGnostics took part in the panel discussion on behalf of AVATAR: the biologist explained that complex questions such as those posed by the AVATAR project can only be answered using an interdisciplinary approach and a wide range of expertise from across Thuringia. That is why it was particularly important from the outset to focus on "speaking a common language" among 18 consortium partners from medicine, industry, business and IT law.
